Position Summary
Support the Logistics Operations and Procurement team by ensuring data accuracy within the Transportation Management System (TMS). Coordinate shipments, manage communication between the company and its transportation suppliers, and oversee EDI compliance. Manage daily logistical activities, including inventory oversight, inland distribution, and warehouse management. Collaborate with customer service, commercial, planning, and international logistics teams to ensure operational excellence and assist with KPI development to drive continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage logistics and inventory operations.
- Schedule and oversee outbound shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery, and coordinate with terminals, warehouses, and transportation suppliers.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between the company and its suppliers, and resolve issues with suppliers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with IT to address EDI and connectivity issues and perform EDI testing for new implementations and systematic developments.
- Ensure data integrity within the TMS and outbound terminal/warehouse data.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure accurate data input, output, and transmission from technology systems (OTM; SAP), and resolve any issues promptly.
- Support compliance with procedures related to spot quotes in the NAM market and optimize EDI KPI reports.
- Assist with new warehouse setup, onboarding, and operational alignments for E-Integration access and EDI compliance.
- Aid with vessel discharge responsibilities, including post-discharge reports and follow-up with terminals.
- Participate in cross-training with the Logistics Procurement team and provide support as needed.
- Assist with ongoing projects aimed at improving terminal performance, reducing costs, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Support internal and external audits and process mapping, and suggest improvements to supply chain processes.
