Manage all shipments through use of a Transportation Management System (TMS). The logistics specialist will be responsible for managing preparation of and routing to delivery. Logistics specialist is responsible for notifying customer service about any delays in the delivery schedule. Staying on top of all deliveries and coordinating with other departments are essential qualities to possess in this fast-paced team environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coordinates, processes, and reviews shipments to our customers in the most cost effective and timely manner possible. Includes creating Bill of Ladings, packing lists, NAFTA and other documentation needed. Communications with internal team members as well as external communication with customers and carriers.
