Our client, in consumer packaged goods industry is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have logistics, Excel, and freight billing experience which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Logistics Specialist (Logistics Exception Analyst)
Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ (Hybrid: Tues and Weds onsite/Mon, Thurs, Fri at home)
Pay Range: $21 - $23 hourly
Contract: 1 year (extension/conversion to permanent possible)
What's the Job?
- Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving exceptions in the logistics payment process to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Responsible for creating weekly logistics reports to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Creating and distributing weekly OTM spot and shipment management reports.
- Process freight and accessorial invoices ensuring timely payment.
- Communicate with carriers and vendors to address and resolve billing issues.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related) -OR- Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will also be considered but all must have good Excel skills.
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Helpful: Familiarity with freight billing and carrier contracts.
- Helpful: Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
