The logistics specialist is responsible for the oversight of the life cycle of products, including preparation, shipping, and receiving. The logistics specialist will support the maintenance of logistics policies and develop reports showing transportation costs on precise projects and moves.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work with customs clearance, inbound transshipment, warehouse distribution management, and inbound/outbound management of PV products according to US local customers and sales requirements.
- Complete delivery-to-door tracking of projects delivered locally in the U.S. according to customer requirements, and assist sales in collection and system accounting after getting POD;
- Responsible for project international shipping in-transit tracking and arrival at U.S. ports transit processing, to ensure timely customs clearance, transshipment, and avoidance of exception fees;
- Communicate with local suppliers in the U.S. and assist the purchasing supervisor in logistics demand management, demand execution, supplier performance management and payment management;
- Maintain timely WMS and TMS systems, and complete quarterly and semi-annual inventory management, to ensure that the system accounts are consistent;
- Complete weekly reports and weekly meetings project management for major projects, timely communication with sales, customers, and headquarters to ensure timely delivery of major projects and continuously improve customer satisfaction;
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
- 3+ years of previous experience in logistics management or coordination.
- Working knowledge of PC systems and cargo management software is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Well-developed motivational and leadership skills.
- Bilingual in Mandarin is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs individually or up to 50 lbs in tandem.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during working hours.
