Ensures day to day requests to check inventory related topics in external warehouses.Will also participate into management of special coordination projects such as inventory location changes, cycle counts as an example.Ensure the day-to-day logistics operational and transactional workflow. Balance the workload by allowing the logistic team to meet their service level and to maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards, including front line production and customer concerns.Maximize team utilization through effective workload assignments to address business needs, planned and unplanned. Perform duties of a routine and non-routine nature. Works with purchasing, quality, OM, and engineering departments to ensure on-time delivery to customers order and to ensure timely delivery of internal external customers timely resolution. Assist and train employees in new job assignments. Ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment. Self-motivated to produce high quality results with limited supervision. Individual must have the ability to represent confidently with supervisors, managers, senior individuals throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Go-to-person for offsite related operational tasks.
  • Coordinate and look over materials management of offsite storage location including goods receiving, picking, scrapping, and shipping.
  • Operate as first point of escalation ensuring production and quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Drive improvement/change throughout.
  • Operate powered equipment ex. fork truck and crane moving heavy bulky parts.
  • Maintain metrics including, but not limited to, throughput.
  • Performs quality checks on work being performed.
  • Perform SAP updates.
  • Maintain safety, quality, methods, and output.
  • Keeps supervision informed of work plans, status, and employee performance.
  • Promote company policies and all safety requirements.
  • Promote, encourage, and set examples of positive distributed teamwork.
  • Assists the supervisor in conducting regular safety meetings as required.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in Shipping, Receiving, Material handling and in Warehouse/Stockroom environment.
  • Strong multi-tasker with a clear ability to work on own initiative; must be able to think and act with consideration and appreciate.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to analyze and problem solve.
  • Skills in Word and Excel, Outlook, and MS Office.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • SAP or other ERP systems experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with part numbers and understanding of mechanical components.
  • Leadership and coaching skills essential.
Education/Training
  • A combination of formal education, training, and experience to acquire knowledge and skill of SAP, MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
