Position Overview: The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the supply activities for assigned international product codes, ensuring that Customer Service targets are met from forecasting through final distribution. This role will involve supporting special requests from internal departments and third-party customers, and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of international orders. The Logistics Specialist will also manage the documentation, packaging, and distribution of Export QA Testing samples for Biological and Pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the logistics of international product orders, from forecasting to final distribution, to ensure established Customer Service targets are achieved.
- Prepare and process international orders, ensuring proper interdepartmental routing, including Materials Management.
- Monitor the status of orders in the system and communicate with internal departments to ensure timely shipment.
- Direct and coordinate the documentation, packaging, and distribution of Export QA Testing samples for Biological and Pharmaceutical products.
- Produce Dangerous Goods Declarations for export shipments as needed, adhering to national and international regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 6 years of related experience, or an Associate's Degree with 4 years of related experience. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Preferably have experience in the transportation of dangerous goods under relevant national and international regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the logistics industry and export compliance framework.
- Experience in a Pharmaceutical/Biological manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of office and warehouse facility requirements is necessary.
