External Job Title: Logistics Supervisor
Internal Job Title: Supervisor, Inventory Management
Job Location: Williamsport, PA
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for Stockroom, Shipping & Receiving. The primary focus is to maintain and improve facility material flow and inventory under the general direction of Material Management
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Stockroom, Shipping and Receiving housekeeping functions and safeguarding of assets
- Maintains Inventory Accuracy in stockrooms; establishes and maintains warehouse locations, analyzes and corrects inventory errors
- Ensures material is issued for production in a timely manner
- Supervises Stockroom, Shipping and Receiving personnel.
- Interfaces with Production Control , Production Supervisors, Engineers and Management
- Evaluates process changes, creates procedures, prepares recommendations for management, and implements changes and improvements.
- Baan (ERP system) Coordinator, interfaces with IS personnel and end users to resolve problems and perform process improvements
- Utilizes software to create custom queries, including SQL type queries, and reports for end users and management on an Ad Hoc basis or as part of a procedure
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Logistics, or equivalent experience
- Formal training In Microsoft Access to at least the intermediate level, to include the creation of queries and databases
- Familiarity with SQL and custom report software such as Monarch or Crystal Reports
- Formal Training in Microsoft Excel to at least the intermediate level, to include creation of Pivot Tables and Charts.
- A Minimum of two years experience with an ERP or MRP system, preferably Baan.
- Minimum of two years experience in an Inventory Management environment, familiarity with warehouse layout.
- Ability to supervise individuals.
