This Company is an ISO Registered specialty chemical and ingredient sales and marketing company serving the North American market since 1972.They serve customers in attractive end-markets including biotechnology, food and beverage, nutraceutical, personal care, pharmaceutical and specialty industrial.With annual revenues of over $100 million and approximately 80 employees across North America, they are a well-respected and well-established company with significant growth potential.As the Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for coordinating and analyzing the organization's domestic and international supply chains. Responsibilities include transportation, warehousing, and monitoring inventory activities to maintain and expedite products as they move through the supply chain. This position manages all department employees and is responsible for performance management, training, team building, and succession planning.You will partner with the Director of Operations and will have one direct report. This company does not own a distribution warehouse, but you will work closely with third-party warehouses, service providers, and freight brokers/forwarders to make sure all the company's and customer's needs are met; assuring items get from point A to point B and handling any issues (Hazmat or others) along the way. You will be the point person for any issues along the way. You are responsible for submitting document requirements needed to ensure shipments are fully released, arrive timely, and are compliant to any US and international governing agencies.You will need to manage all events associated with domestic and international trade compliance by detecting and preventing potential violations with DOT, IMO, IATA, FDA, CBP, and other US federal agencies and evaluate company's adherence to import compliance by testing procedures and processes through self-audits and recordkeeping. You will also continually review departmental processes to identify increased efficiencies.They also need someone with the technical savvy and ability to learn operating system, as it relates to assigned responsibilities: researching customer, product, and supplier information.This is a Monday-Friday role that reports to an office. This is not a distribution warehouse as they outsource that,you will be the person who will need to use your people management, quick critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make sure things get from point A to point B with no issues and resolving any that come up.Base + targeted bonus of $5k to $7500 depending on personal and company performance (80% is lowest they have ever paid out, usually more).
