Overview
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations, including the coordination and management of the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. This role ensures that all logistics activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and project timelines. The Logistics Supervisor reports to the Logistics Manager, and works closely with both China and North America logistics team, suppliers, and other departments to optimize logistics processes, improve operational efficiency, and meet customer demands.
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising and coordinating daily logistics operations, including the transportation, storage yards, and inventory management of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Responsible for collaborating with third-party logistics providers and contractors for North American projects to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Responsible for transportation coordination for North American projects, including planning and overseeing the shipment of components, equipment, and products to project sites.
- Responsible for managing logistics service providers in North America, including supplier performance, payment management, performance improvement, etc.
- Responsible for organizing and analyzing logistics data for North American projects, including inventory cost analysis and control.
- Responsible for coordinating delivery management with clients, domestic PMC, storage yards, and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for handling delivery-related issues for North American projects, including quality concerns, customer complaints, and incidents.
- Responsible for managing local logistics operations for North American energy storage and other related projects.
- Responsible for supporting other PMC-related logistics tasks in North America.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably with experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or similar industries, as well as experience in North American inland logistics.
- Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Strong execution capabilities and a high sense of responsibility, with a proactive approach to driving task completion.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with proficiency in Spanish being an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ yeas solid experience in SAP LES, WM/MM
