Responsible for supervising, overseeing, and leading the distribution shuttle team in day-to-day operations to include but not limited to managing workflow, supporting the plant and cooler loadout, ensuring trailers are properly emptied and washed, moved in/out of bay doors as needed, transporting trailers to appropriate locations such as Thompson Rd Depot, SCS and exit 35 compound, pickups made as needed, trash taken from the plant twice per shift. Trailers are safe to drive and in good working condition per State and Federal DOT standards.Ensure all safety and performance standards are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle general employee inquiries and solve issues that arise, conduct shift meetings with Shuttle Supervisor and other Team Leads, shift report update email to Route Supervisor and Distribution Manager.
  • Lead and direct work activities of shift employees, to include ensuring that company polices are followed, such as vehicle maintenance, accident prevention, injury reporting, employee breaks and lunches.
  • Responsible for training employees on safety procedures and company policies.
  • Ensures all required paperwork regarding OSHA Safety, SQF, FSMA and DOT Compliance are maintained.
  • Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs using an ELD as required by DOT.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve services, or processes.
  • Maintain and spot check vehicle cleanliness of the fleet and participate in waste reduction efforts.
  • Ensure department follows all Safety requirements to include, Housekeeping, Fleet Lock Out/Tag Out, PPE and engage in facility safety efforts.
  • Effectively communicate with Plant and Distribution Managers to ensure accurate information is being exchanged, submit daily reports to fellow Shuttle/Route supervisors and the Distribution Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Education requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: General computer knowledge of functions such as Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, etc.; Skill in communication, analytical thinking, identifying opportunities. and team building; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
  • Required: CDL Class A; will consider comparable work experience in related field.
Pay: $24.06-$32.28 Per Hour* *The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
