NextGen Federal Systems, LLC (NextGen) is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist experienced within Defense Intelligence or the IC. This role provides a full range of administrative support requirements for a defense intelligence customer in Science and Technology. Must be able to work in a high-operational tempo environment and able to work independently.
Location: Bethesda, MD
Travel: Up to 10% travel to customer, program, staff, and NextGen locations as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with property accountability for supplies and equipment supporting contingency operations; maintain electronic tracking and archiving of all actions
- Provide support for material management, implementation and operation of supply program, property accountability, stock record control, requirements requisition processing, prepare research and documentation for micro purchases (i.e., office supplies, equipment, etc.), and research/catalog and/or open source publication supply programs
- Facilitate transportation of equipment/supplies both hazardous and non-hazardous
- Assist in coordinating logistics and supply activities with various offices and assists NMEC Property Book Officer regarding supply and inventory control management functions.
- Provide recommendations for general office equipment repair and return, bench stock replenishment, special transportation, supply to industrial elements and other related logistics support
- Assist in matters involving movement of equipment and supplies between multiple locations to include transport to worldwide locations
- Assist in shipping and handling of US Government property, including packing and unpacking of boxes, working with courier and shipping companies for the delivery of property, and maintaining package tracking numbers
- Provide liaisons and assists in developing partnerships with representatives of other offices, agencies, and organizations who support the NMEC's logistics activities
- Work closely with customers and senior management to improve property accountability and overall logistics support
- Identify deficiencies in support planning and performance, makes recommendations for resolution, and coordinates the activities necessary to better achieve mission support goal
- Assist in preparation of necessary guidance, clarification, and reports
- Serve as a team member on NMEC-wide, multi-disciplinary efforts that involve critical logistics issues
- Serve as a representative on supply working groups to plan and develop internal strategies
- Schedule and execute all required periodic maintenance for equipment. Manage and update equipment and spares databases
- Render sound technical advice to management staff and subordinates in solving logistics problems
- Assist with preparation of Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (DD Form 200) and associated documents for relief from responsibility for lost, damaged and destroyed supply items
- Assist with completion and reviews of Material Inspection & Receiving (DD250) and Requisition & Invoice Shipping Documents (DD! 149) to ensure all information is complete and correct
- Assist in the maintenance of warehouse storage space, performing functions involving warehouse organization, requisition, receipt, shipping, storage, issue, accountability, and preservation of individual and organizational supplies and equipment
- Receive, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers and turn-ins, properly disposes organizational supplies and equipment
- Maintain accounts in Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System (FACTS) and maintain the duties of an Alternate Activity Supply Coordinator (AASC) for assigned property
- Conduct off-site travel as required. Provides support for material management, implementation and operation of supply program, property accountability, stock record control, requirements requisition processing
- Coordinate with leadership to provide material life cycle maintenance including, inventory maintenance, and recommend upgrades to property
- Facilitate the government's purchase and receipt of mission-related equipment, software, and expendable items. Generate shipping load-outs on commercial or military systems
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least eight (8) years of experience in the field of facility logistics
- Experience with logistics supervisory duties and responsibilities
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; requires a current Counterintelligence polygraph or ability to pass a Counterintelligence polygraph upon hire
- Familiar with Occupation and Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. and engage in potentially strenuous activities associated with warehouse activities
- Proficient using MS Office Suite of applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Microsoft Access (database))
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
