Oil States Piper is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position ofLOGISTICS TECHNICIAN IOKLAHOMA CITY, OK In our organization, the Logistics Technician I has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments by safely and efficiently processing work orders as documented while ensuring inventory accuracy, packaging and shipping completed orders according to OSI-OKC Piper standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pack and ship assembly orders and utilize standardized methods for shipment.
  • Safely pull all necessary parts in accordance with sales and/or work order and record on picklist.
  • Safely and efficiently operate various forklifts to move palletized components with in the OSI-OKC Piper facility.
  • Provide appropriate information for the inventory tracking system as necessary to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Quality employees and third-party inspectors to complete Further Inspection and Risk-mitigation Narratives (FIRN).
  • Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • With guidance readily available, safely, and efficiently transport OSI-OKC Piper parts to customers when required.
  • Secure loads prior to vehicle movement to ensure parts do not shift or fall from the truck during transit.
  • Complete all documents, including but not limited to the shipping and receiving logs thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Report damages and discrepancies to the appropriate employees.
  • Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties.
  • Follow and support established HSE programs.
  • Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary.
  • All other duties or tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to identify part numbers.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly manage large volumes of merchandise that represent high dollar values.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to speak, write and read English.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.
Qualification Requirements
  • At least one (1) year shop experience, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must obtain and maintain active OSI-OKC Piper certification to operate Class III forklifts and Level II certifications for Class II and Class IV forklifts.
  • Must obtain and maintain active OSI-OKC Piper certifications to operate cranes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Extended walking, sitting, and/or standing.
Tools and Equipment Used
  • Frequent use of computer equipment to include but not limited to laptop computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, scanner, and printer.
  • Frequent use of company designated software programs to include but not limited to ERP, employee time tracking software, and office productivity software packages.
  • Frequent use of various hand and power tools.
  • Periodic use of overhead cranes and other lifting devices including but not limited to 1/2-ton cranes, 1-ton cranes, 5-ton cranes, and associated rigging.
  • Frequent use of Class II forklifts.
  • Periodic use of Class IV forklifts.
  • Potential to drive company vehicles or personal vehicles for business purposes.
Quality/Customer Service Implications
  • Directly impacts workplace safety through active participation in OSI-OKC Piper HSE programs and safe work practices.
  • Indirectly impacts quality and safe operations in the field by ensuring the correct components are pulled from inventory and provided to customers as stated on the sales orders.
  • Indirectly impacts customer satisfaction through product appearance, packaging, and on-time delivery.
