Logistics/Warehouse Supervisor ROLEYou will be responsible for supporting SICPA Securink in Springfield, Virginia. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Schedule outgoing and incoming shipments with appropriate carrier
- Coordinate and participate in shipment preparations of customer orders and supplier returns ensuring that specific requirements are met
- Tracks the movement of shipments
- Manages physical location of raw materials and supplies within the warehouse, production area and off-site warehouse
- Ensure all packaging materials and tools needed for the warehouse operation are available

- Oversee carrier relationships ensuring reliability and cost optimization (including freight claims)
- Monitor SAP for transactional accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Obtain freight quotes
- Manages Export Control product classification questions and customs delays
- Coordinate direct shipments from Third Parties to customers (domestic and international)
- Maintain necessary licenses, carrier agreements and power of attorney documents related to transportation
- Onboarding of new carriers and ongoing review of existing
- Supervise Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse Team
- Ensure SICPA's ethical policies are distributed to and upheld by suppliers.
FooterPROFILE
- Minimum two years of experience working import and export shipping in the United States
- Detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and multi-disciplinary activities.
- Proven team player with excellent communication skills between partners, management and peers.
- Time management.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and reporting skills.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with SAP or equivalent ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning).
- Advanced Level user of Excel (pivot tables) and Word Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer.
- Customer service oriented.
- Operation of Forklift (Training will be provided by SICPA)
- Hazmat Shipper Certification for both ground and air shipments (Training will be provided by SICPA)
