  • THE CHICAGO CUBS FRANCHISE is a charter member of Major League Baseball's National League. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE The Part - Time Logistics Supervisor position is responsible for the operations at Wrigley, Hotel Zachary, and all of our warehouse locations. The role includes the scheduling of activities, ensuring safe operations, reducing damage and waste of products and the management of staff to ensure efficient operations. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Manage a team of individuals to reach functional goals in an efficient and effective manner - role includes developing staff, creating schedules, leading team communication, assigning roles and responsibilities, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with hiring, training, performance management and rewards and recognition for all logistics associates
  • Oversee the daily loading dock and warehouse operations to ensure all processes and procedures are being properly executed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment maintenance
  • Manage the flow of products to fully utilize the capacity of the loading dock, staging areas, elevators, and storage locations
  • Notify end-recipients on the arrival of incoming deliveries and properly safeguard until the end recipient assumes ownership
  • Communicate with loading dock and warehouse staff on the end location of all incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Ensure there is proper communication and collaboration between the loading dock and the operations department
  • Understand and ensure compliance with company and government regulations
  • Develop policies and procedures for the operational team that promotes efficient and effective operations and enforce compliance
  • Develop and deliver job training to staff and stakeholders
  • Be a subject matter expert on the inventory software and loading dock processes
  • Provide and evaluate suggestions and ideas for improvement of all aspects of our operations (staffing, technology, data, space design/layout, policies, and procedures)
  • Deliver high-end customer support to both internal and external customers
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills and the ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and projects
  • A team player, with a positive attitude and strong internal and external customer service philosophy
  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb flights of stairs, walk on uneven ground, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
WHAT SETS YOU APART:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and leading teams to success
  • Experience operating and maintaining larger vehicles and forklifts
