General Information:Job title: Registered nurse (RN)Department: Fair View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Available Positions:Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Day Shift or NOC ShiftPart-time 2, 32 hours per pay period; PM/NOC ShiftPart-time 2, 16 hours per pay period; Day ShiftWeekend rotation: Every other weekend Weekend shift differential availableHoliday rotation: Rotating holidaysAdditional information: **full-time positions eligible for up to a $7,500 sign on bonus**Position Summary:Plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions, in accordance with established standards of practice.Position Responsibilities:Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with policy regarding administration of meds.Initiates and implements patient care plan.Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel.Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.Participates in planning changes and improvements.Participates in MBMC safety programs.Supports and enforces infection-control & antibiotic stewardship policies and procedures.Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.Keeps DON or Charge Nurse informed of patients, needs, and problems on the nursing unit.Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.Evaluates the performance of personnel with recommendations for appropriate action.Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality.Displays concern and initiative.Observes and supports MBMC policy.Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.Promptly answers residents' call lights & requests.All other duties as requested within scope of practice. Position Requirements:Minimum Education:Graduate of an accredited program in nursingCurrent RN license to practice in the stateRequired Skills:Current CPR certificationExcellent customer service skillsSelf-directingEmpathy for the needs of patientsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate through spoken and written EnglishTreats patients and others with courtesy and respectEnsures confidentiality and security of patient's medical information
