This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care and supporting the medical team in a clinical environment. The RN will work closely with physicians, nurse managers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care and manage patient treatments effectively.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients with rheumatologic conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about managing rheumatologic conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, observations, and interventions.
- Uphold the principles of patient-centered care, ensuring patients' needs and preferences are respected.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in rheumatology care.
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, preferably in a rheumatology or long-term care setting.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage multiple patients effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Commitment to patient education and advocacy.
Experience: Two years plus of experience in nursing, with a focus on rheumatology or long-term care preferred.Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Relevant certifications in rheumatology or long-term care nursing are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including moving and assisting patients.
- Capacity to work 8-hour day shifts.
