FISHER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (GRADES 3 - 5) CONNECTICUT CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR 001 - Pre-K - Grade 8 002 - Pre-K - Grade 6 004 - Grades 1 - 8 005 - Elementary Education - 1 - 6 013 - Elementary - K - 6 305 - Elementary - 1 - 6 POSITION TITLE: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) Teacher RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates capability to oversee, and implement creative and innovative academic programs and curriculum in the content area. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Deliver STEM-oriented instruction. 2. Implementation of the state science standards. 3. Attends professional development and training related to STEM programs and methodologies, staying abreast of current research. 4. Employs a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, which guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and student learning. 5. Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration. 6. Organizes, develops, and coordinates special STEM events/activities. 7.
