Qualifications: REQUIRED ISBE Subsitute License OR Pararprofessional License with a Bachelor's Degree Please see the Illinois State Board of Education for more guidlines. PREFERRED Previous teaching experience Responsibilities Implement the district's curriculum and instructional practices that align with the Board of Education standards Engage in continuous professional development designed to improve instruction Follow the policies and procedures adopted by the Board of Education and the Illinois School Code Actively participate in the district's mission and strategic plan Create an effective and engaging learning environment for all students Communicate regularly and work cooperatively with parents Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and provide both individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each learner Maintain an effective learning environment that promotes standards and behavior appropriate to the students' grade level Regularly evaluate students' academic and social growth, and keep appropriate records to report progress Participate in curriculum development opportunities, staff committees, and sponsorship of student activities Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the building principal How to Apply: Online applications accepted.
