Compensation: $17.00 per hour
Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a leading Custom Label Printing company we are seeking Press Helpers! Pay: $17/hr Shifts: 1st shift 6am-4pm Mon-Thu 2nd shift 4pm-2am Mon-Thu (both shifts workoccasional overtime on Fridays) The Press Helper role is responsible for the set-up and support of printing presses in accordance with the printing specifications and customer requirements/expectations. Essential Functions
- Prepare Press Operators with all essential needs, including tooling, to keep the press running for all jobs daily.
- Ensure job carts are prepared before orders are placed on the press.
- Stock the press with needed materials to keep the press running.
- Responsible for cleanliness of machinery and organization of the workspace.
- Perform routine material handling duties including, but not limited to, hand trucks. Move loads in compliance with safe practices.
- Work to sustain a clean, organized area by utilization of the 5S process. Cleans ink pans and ancillary equipment. Assists in the performance of all clean-up activities following changeover.
- Keep the press running while the Press Operator steps away for lunch, breaks, etc.
- Work as a team to ensure production schedule is followed and quality checks are completed on a regular basis. May be required to complete associated documentation.
- Comply with quality specifications of the customer and company
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 5 years directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Safety shoes are required in this position. Safety glasses are required when pouring inks or using cleaners.
Knowledge/Skills
- Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well as a team to ensure production goals are met.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and job jackets.
- Exhibits data accuracy with data entry, good visual acuity.
- Ability to speak effectively and present information one-on-one to optimize timely and correct changeovers.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle orders, and pressroom equipment and tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear; and ability to handle physical workload on average 30lbs - 50lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. #AIS13
