Do you have experience working with reviewing and approving drainage plans, right-of-way and culvert permits or inspecting private, public and County owned property? As the Lot Drainage Specialist,you will ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, statutes and County ordinances; and will provide back-up support for Land Development Inspectors in their inspection activities. + Review all lot drainage plans submitted to Land Development as part of the building permit process for compliance with the Unified Development Code.
+ Provide on-site inspections of private, public and County owned property; ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, statutes and County ordinances. Provide back up support for Land Development Inspectors in their inspection activities.
+ Provide support in the review of site development permit plans and right-of-way use permits.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
To thrive in this position, you must have-
+ A High School Diploma or its equivalent AND four (4) years of related experience; two (2) of which must be in related inspecting experience.
+ Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
+ Florida Department of Environmental Protection Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Certification, or will be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire .

Starting Pay Range: $23.33 - $25.00 based on experience
