DEPARTMENT: Production

LOCATION: Schafer Retail Solutions + - 1000 Flag Road, Adair, IA

SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM); some overtime on Fridays

Position Summary:

The Lottery Assembly II position is responsible for performing the various tasks required to prepare and assemble multiple parts using different techniques into finished products that are packaged and ready for sale. This position also assembles a variety of plastic products both rotomolded and injection molded for orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to follow quality directions from Line Leader or Production Supervisor (visual and feel)
  • Run a variety of power and hand tools (electric and pneumatic)
  • Glue parts for subassemblies or final product
  • Use appropriate jigs and fixtures to bend and assemble parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment for self and co-workers
  • Pack product per specification from Line Leader or Production Supervisor
  • Assemble and package parts per specification
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production records and part counts
  • Work in multiple areas within department as time permits
  • Float to other departments as instructed
  • Other duties may be assigned

Work Environment/ Physical Requirements

The work environment while performing the duties of this job:

  • Regularly exposes the employee to fumes
  • Regularly exposes the employee to moderate-loud noise levels
  • Occasionally near moving equipment and mechanical parts
  • Regularly is climate controlled

The physical demands while performing the duties of this job:

  • Regularly require the employee to stand, walk, bend, reach and handle multiple tools (electric, hand and pneumatic)
  • Regularly require the employee to lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly require employee to communicate (verbally and written)

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to use and maintain basic equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math skills
  • Adhere to safety guidelines
  • Maintain safe work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Mechanical experience a plus
