Love Your Block AmeriCorps VISTA Member | Little Rock, ARThe Love Your Block program brings city leaders and residents together to build stronger neighborhoods, one block at a time. VISTA members will lead community outreach, manage volunteers, and advertise the program through communication channels and social media. The VISTA member will create an outreach plan, a volunteer management system, and a communication plan. The VISTA members will also build capacity by establishing a comprehensive volunteer management system and forging strategic partnerships with local organizations. These efforts directly serve traditionally disempowered communities and address poverty by enhancing neighborhood conditions and fostering community resilience, thereby breaking the cycle of poverty. Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers, serving as their primary point of contact and resource for questions, concerns, and feedback. Track impact indicators such as volunteer engagement, volunteer hours, and complete projects. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project activities and ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations. Prepare reports, presentations and other materials to communicate project updates, outcomes, and impact to internal and external stakeholders. Organize and facilitate volunteer training sessions to ensure that volunteers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively. Drafts routine correspondence and prepares various narrative and statistical reports for internal and external updates.
