Low Voltage Security install Technicians Location: Need to be in MN but have to Travel 90% Technical Skills
- Prove experience as a low voltage technician, preferably access control systems
- Ability to read technical manuals
- Experience with hand tools and testing equipment
- Knowledge of relevant codes and safety measures
Troubleshooting skills
- Understanding system equipment/function
- Good understanding of signal flow
- Proper use of tools/troubleshooting equipment
Craftsmanship/Quality of work
- Work is performed to low voltage/building code standards
- Follow-up on remaining work or potential concerns are communicated to on-site POC
Communication Skills
- Able to ask client technical questions in layman's terms when appropriate
- Professionalism; not swearing/insulting/poor demeanor
- Listening skills to supplement troubleshooting
- Empathy to vendor (don't take their frustrations personally, representation of company) Wrap-up on work performed is reviewed with POC, any remaining next-steps are communicated
Efficiency
- Can't be dragging feet to complete work, needs sense of urgency
