POSITION SUMMARY Perform multiple duties with regard to equipment, transmission pipe, exhaust ducting installation. Repair and maintain equipment and other general maintenance by performing the following duties. This is a traveling position. LOCATION AND HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday and some weekend hours at MBI or customers site. Must be available to travel out of state at minimum 2 weeks per month. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. - Ability to write simple correspondence. - Ability to speak effectively to customers, clients, vendors, managers and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. - The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles (e.g. when welding) and risk of electrical shock (e.g. wiring welders). - The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals (e.g. at customer sites); and outside weather conditions (e.g. traveling to customer sites). - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Ability to work independently as well as with others. - Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time. - Tig weld stainless steel. - Fitting, soldering, and brazing copper tube. - Basic fabrication skills such as milling, drilling, tapping, cutting, and bending - Working knowledge of electronics and special equipment (e.g. volt meters). - Ability to receive any necessary repair certifications and training within reasonable amount of time. - Knowledge of general Windows computer programs. - Blueprint reading QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
