The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in providing safe, quality patient care.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient careIdentifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirementsPerforms interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the Clinic policies and patient care outcome standardProvides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environmentInitiates and evaluates patient and/or family educationDocuments patient's response to nursing and other interventionsMonitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipmentParticipates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosen facilityAdministers vaccines or any necessary medicationsMakes follow-up phone calls to the patientsInputs information into the computerHelps stock and maintain the cleanliness of the facilityMinimum Requirements:Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse LicenseOne year experience as an LPN/LVN preferredOne year experience in a clinic setting preferredComplies with all relevant professional standards of practiceParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicableCurrent CPR if applicableTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable to job siteUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirementsAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is requiredComputer proficiency requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageBenefitsAt Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits:Competitive pay & weekly paychecksHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) savings planAwards and recognition programs*Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.About AmergisAmergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
