The Terrace offers our residents the assurance of personalized care in a warm, friendly atmosphere designed to meet their changing needs.As a member of our caring, compassionate health care team the LPN will enjoy:Tuition assistance and reimbursementFacility that is more home setting then clinical settingWork with residents that need assistance with daily living, but not nursing home careManagement team that is supportive and will be working on the floor next to you not in an officeDiverse team that is supportive of each other and promotes teamworkStrong relationships with peers and residents alikeLocation with an easy commute from Schenectady, Colonie, Rotterdam and LathamShadow experiences for those interested in getting additional insight on this rewarding opportunityThe LPN will be responsible for, but not limited to:The nursing care of residents under the direction of the Nursing Director and Case ManagerOversee and mentor a team of resident assistantsPass medications to approximately 20 residentsInteract and take directions from community physiciansFoster at all times resident independence and freedom of choiceCompleting all necessary paperwork and documentation in paper formatEducation of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved onesMinimum Requirements:Valid NYS LPN license1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passesPreferred Requirements:1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills1+ year experience as a supervisor or leader type roleUnderstanding of assisted living regulationsComfort with handling paper medical recordsMaintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilitiesCommunicate effectively in a fast pace work environmentEngage within a team settingStrong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staffThink, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situationsPassion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing fieldPay Range:$24.00 - $30.10Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
