Job Description:

What you should know about the LPN IPU role:

* This is a full time night shift position (6:30p-6:30a) 36 hrs/week.

* Our inpatient unit is located at Licking Memorial Hospital

* We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed

The LPN Essential Duties are:

As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) the Licensed Practical Nurse will provide patient care which may include supportive care, pain and symptom management, preventative care, and personal care to maximize the comfort and health of hospice patients, their families, and other caregivers.

Qualifications:

* Commitment to the hospice concept and philosophy of care; willingness to develop skills in palliative care.

* Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed in Ohio with IV and medication certification preferred

* Registered LPN with the State of Ohio without any board actions. One-year nursing experience preferred.

* CPR Certified

* Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain certification.

* Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.

* Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather.

* Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record

* State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage

* Complete and pass all pre-employment and periodic screenings, including health screenings, required by the organization.
