A healthcare organization in New York is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at one of their inpatient mental health facilities in Binghamton.About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days,
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week (every other weekend Saturday & Sunday)
- Hours: 7am to 3:30pm (40 hours a week)
- Setting: Inpatient Mental Health facility
Responsibilities:The Inpatient Mental Health LPN will:
- Assess the patients' physical needs
- Administer medication
- Admit, discharge, and transfer patients based on Physician orders
- Assist with procedures and physical exams
- Record appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients' medical record
- Draw blood, collect vital signs, etc.
- Conduct checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
