Job Description:
Overview Work in the heart of #humankindness at CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington. As our LPN you'll provide direct patient care to the variety of patients encountered in a multidisciplinary nursing unit. To thrive in this role you will demonstrate your knowledge to follow the medical and nursing plans of treatment and care for each patient; perform assessments, procedures and treatments under the supervision of the RN. Our LPN is responsible for accurate reporting, documentation, and the practice of safe/confidential care. This position is for you if you're looking for flexibility as you'll work casually, PRN as needed. In our Critical Access Hospital you will be exposed to the emergency department acute care (Med/Surg) swing bed surgery, outpatient treatment and so much more! Responsibilities
  • Assess patients needs and provide required care or seek assistance as indicated.
  • Provides compassionate direct patient care under the supervision of the RN.
  • Provides quality care in a competent knowledgeable manner.
  • Practices principles of safety and aseptic technique with patients, co-workers and self.
  • Performs procedures/treatments as qualified by LPN licensure.
  • Attends department and staff meetings and participates in other in-services as requested.
  • Participates in educational programs to enhance professional skills.
  • Maintains a positive attitude in the performance of all tasks thereby contributing to the building of a strong and supportive team spirit.
  • Follows Carrington Health Center's policies and procedures thereby contributing to a positive working environment.
  • Participates in annual evaluation.
  • Assists department director in establishing goals and objectives that enhance the competencies of the department and actively support the health facility's annual and/or long-range goals.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with administration and all staff.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Practical Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing
  • North Dakota LPN Licensure
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) .
