LPN for Pediatric, Adolescent Medicine in Briarcliff Manor, NYEssential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- 75% patient care, 25% administrative
- Perform brief histories on patients coming to the office visits
- Obtain vitals prior to physician coming to see the patient according to standing protocols
- Track ordered labs and diagnostic testing results
- Administer injections and provide teaching for self-administration for IBD treatment under the directions of the providers
- Queue medications to providers when requested
- Fill out forms to go to schools, day cares, employers, and hospitals/specialists
- Assess patient needs via phone call, answering questions when possible and elevating to providers or booking appointments when needed
- Obtain and coordinate prior authorizations for medication, Enteral Therapy and DME supplies
- Operate according to standard orders and standing protocols
- Enter all charges into superbill: injection administration, g-tube changes & chemical cauterization
- Provide care in a patient-centered manner
- Demonstrate excellence in both internal and external customer service
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Licensure Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Current New York State LPN license required
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
Must Have Skills/Qualifications: LPN License, Patient Care, AdministrationSchedule/Shift: Monday-Friday 9a-5p Every 3rd-4th Saturday would be a morning shift (9a-1p)Every Wednesday would be 10am-7pm (can be flexible if needed here in the morning)
