($26 - $28.72 per hour, dependent upon experience)No-Frills Options with Higher ($28.60 - $33.03 hr, dependent upon experience)Shift DifferentialsReferral BonusesFlexible Schedules - Full & Part-Time OpeningsPeer MentorshipGenerous Paid Time OffJOB DESCRIPTION:A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct care for long-term and sub-acute residents and supervises the duties performed by the Certified Nurse Assistant to ensure the highest degree of quality care. An LPN works as a team member under the direction of the RN, Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, and Director of Nursing in a nursing unit.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures the care and safety of all residents in the nursing unitEnsures that individual care plans are followedAdministers and documents medications, treatments, and other nursing servicesMakes a count of controlled substances on the assigned nursing unitDocuments current condition of assigned resident in EMRReceives and gives an accurate report of the resident condition at shift changeCommunicates to the nursing team and medical provider as indicated and requiredAssists in the orientation of new staffMaintains competency in all tasks required by CMSREQUIREMENTS:Current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York requiredDegree from an accredited school or nursing/nursing program is requiredCurrent CPR certification requiredEducation or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferredDemonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolutionMust be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliableStrong customer service skills and compassionBasic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferredPhysical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 poundsABOUT US:Absolut Care is comprised of five skilled nursing facilities and one assisted living facility in New York State, including: Absolut Care of Allegany in Allegany, Absolut Care of Aurora Park in East Aurora, Absolut Care of Gasport in Gasport, Absolut Care of Orchard Brooke in Orchard Park, Absolut Care of Three Rivers in Painted Post and Absolut Care of Westfield in Westfield.We offer a variety of services including subacute rehab, long-term care, and hospice.
