Experience it first-hand in this role:LPN -Physician Substitute - $28 to $33/hour This Is What You'll Do:Perform medical evaluation of potential donors for automated plasmapheresis proceduresDetermine donor suitability of new applicants in consultation with a donor center physicianProvide limited emergency care, including the administration of medications or treatmentsConduct evaluations to ensure compliance with criteria for normal plasma donorsReview medical histories and perform suitability examinationsMaintain communication logs regarding donor suitabilityReview normal and abnormal test results to determine continued donor suitabilityCounsel donors with abnormal test results and defer them accordinglyComplete cross-training as required This Is Who You Are:An individual of strong character and demonstrated integrityA person committed to excellent customer service all day, every dayEmpathetic enough to understand and appreciate our donors Self-motivated and willing to assume the initiativeTeachable with a desire to learn and advanceSomeone with positive energy, always willing to pitch in where neededUnderstanding, patient, and genuinely authenticHungry to build a great careerThis Is What It Takes:Graduation from a recognized healthcare educational programCurrent licensure as an LPN specific to the location of employmentCurrent certification in CPRAbility to educate donors, staff, and community regarding our plasma donation programA high degree of organization, team orientation, flexibility, and comfort working with a diverse group of people within a very busy medical environmentWillingness and ability to maintain the confidentiality of all personnel and center informationWillingness and ability to work on weekendsBasic computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel preferredBlood bank or plasma center experience highly preferredOne or more years of hospital, field care, or plasma center experience preferredThis Is Why Nurses Love Working Here:Excellent work/life balanceHome time is yours, so you can leave work at workCenters operate limited hours during many major holidaysExcellent teamwork/friendly co-workersSupportive environmentStrong ethical standardsOpportunities for advancementDo Satisfying Work.
