As an LPN, some of the duties you will be responsible for include:
- Providing basic medical attention to patients and assessing their wellbeing as part of a larger medical team.
- Checking vital signs and recording a patient's medical history in a confidential manner
- Assist nursing and medical staff with tasks, such as administering medication
- Explaining treatments and procedures to patients and families
- Changing dressings and bandages, ensuring patients are healing properly
- Maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of each patient, including bathing, feeding, and dressing
Some of the key requirements include:
- Must be licensed as an LPN in New York State
- Will be friendly and sociable and be able to provide comfort to patients with good interpersonal skills - both verbal and in writing
- Must be detail-oriented, able to notice any changes in a patient's condition and report changes to our care team
- 2+ years of hands on experience providing care through clinical rotation, on the job training through a nursing program or experience as a private care giver preferred
- Team member - Will follow direction, guidance and feedback from Supervisors
