Assigned tasks may include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering medications in-office, performing point of care lab testing, assisting with procedures and triaging patient phone calls. All responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with applicable state regulations.Responsibilities* Provides general nursing services to patients under the supervision of a physician or other licensed provider within the scope of practice for the LPN.* Follows HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA, Medication Management and Infection Prevention procedures for cleaning and sterilization of equipment and/or instruments.* Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point of care testing and medication administration. Assists with medical office procedures.* Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.* Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.* BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.
