LPN - Mobile Team
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on LRMC's Mobile Team, you will play a vital role in delivering primary medical care where it is needed most - whether on our mobile unit, in a patient's home, or within our clinic setting. In this position, you will not only perform a variety of complex sub-professional nursing and administrative tasks but also adapt to the evolving demands of our community. Work shifts may include occasional weekends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited to:
* Identifies symptoms of physical illness and disability of presenting patients through observation and analysis of the medical record.
* Supervises and instructs paraprofessionals nursing personnel in the treatment and/or care of patients and the maintenance of areas where patients are seen.
* Reads (checks) patients vital signs - temperature, pulse, respiration rate, blood pressure, etc.
* Administers medication, treatment and immunizations as prescribed by Physician.
Education / Requirements:
* Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or North Carolina Board of Nursing based of SC or NC Residency; familiar with general office procedures; possess considerable knowledge of practical nursing practice and procedures.
* Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing and one (1) year of practical nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory health care setting.
* Must be familiar with general office procedures. Must observe office protocol in performing routine duties.
* Should possess considerable knowledge of practical nursing practice and procedures.
* Should have thorough knowledge of basic health and safety practices, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
* General knowledge of human anatomy.
