They are family, neighbors, teachers, and community members.DEPARTMENT: Nursing HomeSUPERVISED BY: Director of Nursing - Nursing HomeSUPERVISES: NoneSTATUS: Non-exempt JOB SUMMARY:A License Practical Nurse (LPN) in a nursing home involves providing essential care to residents, assisting with daily activities, administering medications, and monitoring health conditions. LPNs collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure the well-being of patients and maintain accurate records of their care. Strong communication skills and compassion are vital in this role of supporting both residents and their families.JOB REQUIREMENTS:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Proficiently be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficient in documentation and patient assessment.
  • In-depth knowledge of body systems and functions to assess and manage patient health effectively.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices.
  • Competence in wound care management.
  • Knowledge of patient mobility assistance.
  • Familiarity with care planning and documentation.
  • Strong communication with healthcare teams.
  • High level of accuracy data entry; ensure patient safety, effective communication, and quality care.
  • Comprehension and delivery of patient safety and healthcare ethics.
  • Awareness of regulatory compliance in long-term care
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of accredited nursing program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current MN LPN license.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience in Long Term Care.
  • Must pass MN background check and fingerprinting.
  • Complete TB test within the first 4 weeks of employment.
JOB SCHEDULE/LOCATION(S):
  • Hallock, MN
  • Part-Time
  • 6:00 am - 2:30 pm or 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Long Term Care setting
