Full-time and part-time opportunities for LPN's are available in our Personal Care and Memory Support areas, on all shifts.Newly-hired LPN's are eligible for competitive pay rates and generous shift differentials ($3.00 extra per hour on the evening shift, $2.00 extra per hour on the night shift, plus $1.00 extra per hour on weekends).Brethren Village offers new LPN's extensive on-the-job training to set you up for success; on-going guidance and support; an environment where you can develop your skills; a variety of work schedules to meet your needs. Brethren Village's LPN's provide the highest-quality clinical care, while fostering positive and supportive relationships with older adult Residents, to enhance their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Our LPN's work cooperatively with RN's and Personal Care Aides to monitor health status and provide direct patient care.Typical Work Schedules
- Full-time, benefits-eligible, 37.5 to 40 hours per week: opportunities are typically available on all shifts; work days will vary a bit from week to week, and typically include every other weekend and holiday. Some Monday through Friday positions may be available.
- Part-time: flexible part-time schedules are typically available on all shifts, including some weekend-only schedules
- PRN (schedules as-needed): flexible PRN schedules are typically available
RequirementsCore Requirements:
- a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps, and databases independently
- the ability to complete online training independently
- dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
- attention to safety: ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards
- commitment to treating each Resident, Team Member, and member of the Brethren Village community with respect
Additional Requirements for this Position:
- valid PA LPN credentials
- current CPR and First Aid certification
- ability and willingness to provide effective guidance and coaching to Personal Care Aides
- willingness to provide assistance to Residents with cognitive impairment, with their dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, and bathroom needs when needed
- the ability to safely transfer Residents, properly using mechanical lifts when necessary; to safely push adult Residents in wheel chairs; to safely assist Residents who may begin to fall
- the ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations
- the ability to remain calm and provide effective care in a fast-paced environment
- understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations
- ability and willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
