Purpose and Role This position is responsible for performing routine functions delegated by the Responsible Physician of an Olgam Plasma Center location. The Physician Substitute will ensure donor suitability for donation, and follow all federal, local, and organizational standards related to this determination. Job Duties and Responsibilities 1. Counsels' donors on test results, eligibility, high risk behavior, and applied deferrals. 2. Provides on-site medical coverage for regulatory compliance during operating hours where donors are apheresed. 3. Provides limited emergency medical care to donors experiencing adverse events. 4. Performs health assessments for donors as required and consents all donors for plasma donation. 5. Leads registration and screening activities to monitor and manage throughout times in the medical reception production area. 6. Evaluates and determines approval for whole blood sample requirements. 7. Supports test result reviews for donor suitability. 8. Coordinates reception personnel production area coverage to ensure optimal production flow. 9. Participates in all center leadership discussions and meetings as required 10. Provides frequent updates to center management of personal shortages, inventory concerns, and equipment issues in the reception area. 11. Provides personnel training and development in production areas, as well as skill development for customer service driven practices. 12. Maintains skills in the medical and reception production areas of the center. 13. Follows all applicable SOPs and all applicable local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. 14. Follows all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Requirements • Graduate of an accredited educational program in nursing, or physician assistant. • A minimum of 1 years' experience working in a regulated environment is preferred. • A minimum of 1 years' experience supervising others is preferred • Maintains current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). • Maintains current license and renewals as required. • Organizational skills and attention to detail. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Professional communication and the ability to inform and report appropriately to management. • Scheduling flexibility to ensure appropriate center support and coverage. • Ability to execute multi-step technical driven tasks. • Familiarization with electronic systems/platforms used to organize, track, and execute tasks. Education Current LPN, RN, or PA (Physician Assistant) certification is required. Current CPR required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. #IND16
