The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) shall carry out direct nursing care to patients of the health center under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Adheres to statutory and regulatory requirements regarding certification and quality of health care and agency-approved policies and procedures. Interviews patients, obtains vital signs, prepares patients for exams, and assists providers with exams and/or treatments. Updates and ensures the accuracy of patients' electronic medical records. Take patient telephone calls to identify emergent and non-emergent appointment criteria. Oversees telephone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies. Maintains coordination of services with individuals and/or qualified persons. Coordinates with vendors to ensure delivery of prescribed equipment as needed. Cooperates with providers and personnel to ensure quality programs, regular reviews, and accurate data collection.
