Description
The McGuire Group's Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to become a member of our elite team. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) promotes the health, wellness & illness prevention of residents through an array of daily nursing and personal care endeavors. An LPN works under the direction of a registered nurse and is responsible for handling a diverse range of tasks including: administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, documenting clinical data of patients and more. The LPN is also responsible for the direct care and/or supervision of duties performed by certified nursing assistants and to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times.
Pay Rate: $25.50 to $28.17/hour depending on experience and benefits.
Sign on up to $3,000 (FT LPN 37.5 hours or more can receive up to $3,000 Sign on) Part time LPN 22.5 hours may receive up to $1,500 Sign on bonus
Duties & Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the care and safety of all patients/residents on the nursing unit, ensuring that individual care plans are current, implemented and revised as necessary.
Assists fellow nurses, nursing rehab assistants, certified nursing assistants and certified nursing assistant trainees in the understanding of individual patient/residents needs and implementation of their care plans.
Administers and documents medications, treatments and other nursing services to ensure that the medical record reflects progress and the current condition of the patient/resident.
Makes regular evaluations of documentation, ensuring that the medical record reflects progress and the current condition of the resident at all times.
Is the sole carrier of the narcotics keys. Makes account of controlled substances on the nursing unit.
Receives report from the off going team leader/nursing supervisor, makes rounds and assesses the needs of the residents.
Ensures that comprehensive care plans are revised and updated as indicated by a change in the patients/residents condition and/or a change in physician orders.
Ensures that the designated representative is notified of any change in the patient/residents condition or plan of care.
Requirements:
Minimum 18 years of age
New York State Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred
Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
