The Site Coordinator is responsible for coordination, management, and evaluation of all clinical nursing operations for designated site with a direct reporting relationship to Regional Director of Nursing. - Ensure nursing coverage is provided for site in congruence with contractual requirements.
- Foster support and cooperation with jail staff and administration to promote teamwork and fulfillment of QCHC's mission.
- Utilize QCHC manuals, policies, and procedures to guide treatment of inmates and appropriate actions with nursing staff.
- Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.
- Assist the Medical Director/Director of Nursing in pharmacy utilization reviews.
- Assist the Director of Nursing in evaluation of the following on an annual basis and as needed: Orientation Program, Competency Evaluations, Ongoing Education, CQI program and Annual Review.
- Participate in the development of new and/or revised nursing policies and procedures.
- Identify equipment and capital equipment needs and submit request to corporate.
- Formulate and submit weekly and monthly reports to corporate
- Attend ALL mandatory meetings.
Clinical Duties
- Respond and intervein to all emergency situations
- Conduct Patient Intake paperwork
- Verify and obtain orders for patient medication
- Conduct Sick Call clinic
- Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations
- Complete ordered treatments, and collect ordered labs
- Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic
- Monitor for and report changes in patient's condition
- Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
