Work Schedule: Days

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm/Thursday-9:00am to 5:00pm/11:00am to 7:00pm

Summary:

Clinical support position involving the direct participation with Endocrinology patients in the outpatient medical setting. Work responsibilities include but not limited taking and recording vital signs, prepping patients for examinations, obtaining insurance authorizations, and assisting office staff and providers. Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times. This position will also require active involvement in patient triage activities and ancillary medical support functions as required.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

• Current New York State Licensure.

EXPERIENCE

• One (1) to three (3) years' experience in an acute care or physician office (primary care or specialty) setting is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Able to work well in stressful situations and conditions of frequent interruption.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home, with MIPS, HEDIS requirements preferred
