Position Summary
This is a Financial Specialist-Senior position that will be housed at the WDNR's Division of Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP), Office of Business Services (OBS). This position will work as assigned on accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks with various FWP programs based on need for the specified services. This position is part of FWP Division Financial Specialists' team and will work closely with Office of Business Service's Budget and Grants Team. Madison is the work location for this position.
50% A. Perform work to support the division-level fiscal service model.
A1. Process invoices and purchase orders' receipts and create purchase order requisitions.
A2. Reconcile and correct PCard transactions for the FWP programs.
A3. Process mail and revenue remittances for the FWP programs.
A4. Collaborate with other fiscal specialists in the agency to ID and build efficiencies and streamline and standardize processes as appropriate.
20% B. Provide internal support and complete assignments from the budget and grants manager.
B1. Answer questions, prepare guidance documents, and prepare briefs on fiscal topics.
B2. Coordinate financial processes.
B3. Analyze and summarize financial data.
B4. Enter data into division workplanning and budget system.
20% C. Participate in Office of Business Services' work activities to develop efficiencies and consistencies.
C1. Participate in the Office of Business Services Teams meetings.
C2. Participate in developing financial guidelines and procedures, identify issues, and recommend processes.
C3. Act as the program administrative specialist for specific work activities as assigned (e.g. record management, continuity of operations, ordering office supplies and clothing, publication tracking inventory).
C4. Support other programs during vacancies, spikes in workload, or other priority needs.
10% D. Other duties as assigned.
Telework: Based on an assessment of the goals and work activities, this position may be eligible for telework. This assessment does not convey approval to telework or the exact percentage of telework. Telework is subject to supervisor approval based on individual circumstances and department telework policies and may be changed without notice based on business needs.
Salary Information
This position pays between $20.00 - $21.66 per hour and is in pay schedule and range 02-13. Compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and will not automatically lead to permanent state employment or be entitled to the same benefits as permanent employees.

1) Residency: To be considered for this position, you must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin.
A Wisconsin resident is a person who:
a. Has established a residence, as defined in s. 6.10(1), in this state not less than 10 days earlier;
b. Has resided in this state for not less than a total of one year out of the immediately preceding 5 years;
c. Is eligible to register to vote in this state; or
d. Is the spouse of a person meeting the requirements of par. (a), (b), or (c). s.230.03(12), Wis. Stats.

Qualified candidates will have:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills including editing for content, clarity, and grammatical correctness.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, financial, and related software experience. Skills in use of computers for compiling data and tracking information.
* Ability to learn complex financial systems.
