Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Lumber & Building Materials Load Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for loading and unloading deliveries in the yard, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and assisting customers in the yard as needed.Pay for this Role: $15.00 per hour - $17.00 per hour depending on experienceJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Move and handle building materials throughout the facility.
- Stage loads for delivery or will call (accurately pull correct products from picking ticket).
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner, according to company procedures/protocols.
- Follow all safety procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to them as well.
- Put away products in proper bin locations.
- Help customers in the yard as needed.
- Be an honest and reliable team player.
- Build lumber packs in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to operate Forklift
- Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Available for occasional overtime.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for an extended period of time. up to 8-10 hours a day.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
