Lunch Aide, Early Morning, Recess Aide, and Crossing Guard:Job SummaryLunch Aide/Recess Aide:* Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals* Maintain regular attendance* Perform other duties as assigned.* Circulates among the tables during mealtime so as to be available to children whoneed help or resolve problems that arise.* Supervise students and maintain a cooperative atmosphere during recess* Circulate among students and attempt to resolve minor problems as they arise.* Inform building administration immediately of any serious disciplinary problems.Early Morning Aide and Crossing Guard* Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.* Guide or control vehicular or pedestrian traffic at such places as the street.* Monitor traffic flow to locate safe gaps through which pedestrians can cross streets.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:* Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.* Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.* Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.* Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.* Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 poundsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* High school diploma or G.E.D.
