LVN/Licensed Vocational Nurse also performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, and taking vital signs.Requirements

Ability to facilitate communication and problem solving with patients, families, staff physicians, and administration.

Basic Life Support

Licensed in the State of Texas as a LVN/Licensed Vocational Nurse or possesses a temporary permit to practice vocational nursing in Texas. Nurse with temporary permit GVN/Graduate Vocational Nurse has 75 days to take the NCLEX after they receive the authorization to test per Texas Board of Nursing. If GVN/Graduate Vocational Nurse fails the NCLEX the temporary permit is revoked by the Texas Board of Nursing and job status at Coryell Health Medical Clinic will be demoted to position and pay prior to GVN/Graduate Vocational Nurse status, to a nurse tech/CNA or may result in termination.

Prefer one year or more of LVN/Licensed Vocational Nurse clinical experience.

Prefer the following skills: the ability to multi-task, problem solving, organizational skills, experience using an Electronic Medical Record.
