St. Charles Hospital is offering to train and pay for the chosen candidate to obtain the necessary lymphedema CDT certification within the first 6 months of employment.
St. Charles Hospital is the only hospital on Long Island accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation for adults and children.

It is a premier resource for Long Islanders who need speech, occupational and physical therapy. Our patients have convenient access to the hospital's radiology and laboratory testing as well as access to a team of physiatrists and other specialty physicians. Our therapists also excel in rehabilitation for orthopedic and sports medicine injuries as well as for surgeries such as joint replacement and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
Job Details
In addition to the below, the Physical Therapist will collaborate with our interdisciplinary treatment team to continue to enhance and streamline our lymphedema center service line.
Responsibilities:
* Assessment, treatment of the lymphedema patient delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
* Evaluation of the lymphedema patient and development of appropriate treatment plan and progression according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and lymphedema management.
* Provide treatment of patients in accordance with departmental standards of operation while observing specially indicated precautions.
* Provide treatment in accordance with referring physician orders and in accordance with the scope of practice for a physical therapist.
Requirements:
Education:
* Minimum Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. DPT preferred.
* Lymphedema certification and/or experience is preferred. St. Charles Hospital is offering to train and pay for the chosen candidate to obtain the necessary lymphedema CDT certification within the first 6 months of employment.
Licensure/Certification:
* New York State PT license and registration or valid temporary license.
* BLS certification.
Salary Range
USD $47.20 - USD $56.60 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
