We are seeking an Engineer to support extensive high visibility integration unique modeling software into AFSIM. As a member of our team, you will support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community research efforts in Washington, DC. This offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state-of-the-art technologies, simulation integration experts, and Subject Matter Experts (SME). This work focuses on modeling and simulation development for emerging technologies for the U.S. DoD. Essential Job Functions: Analysis and debugging skills of developmental software. Integrate/federate air-to-air engagement scenarios from BRAWLER into AFSIM. Develop integration plans, procedures, and organize resources to facilitate integration of advanced technologies into AFSIM. Document activities, including writing reports, analyzing progress, and making recommendations to the team. Work both individually and with a broader engineering team. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. At least a BS degree in STEM-focused studies, and at least 5 years of related experience. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility. At least 2 years of hands-on experience creating AFSIM scenarios and models for engagement and/or mission level studies. At least 2 years of hands-on BRAWLER experience. Proficiency developing object-oriented software in C/C++ with Visual Studio integrated development environment. Demonstrated ability to write, understand, and maintain FORTRAN code. Candidates should have experience with Modern Software Development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Jira, Jenkins, etc. Excellent written and verbal English communications skills. Ability to work well in team environments. Ability to travel, as required. Desired Skills: Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis software such as MATLAB. Master Degree in Computer Science or other STEM field. Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on Modeling and Simulation software. Knowledge of different IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems. Knowledge of air-to-air, air-to-surface, surface-to-air systems. 6577
