Position Summary: The MA/CNA will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and supporting the healthcare team in various capacities. The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting and a passion for serving patients. Key Responsibilities: For Medica Assistant (MA):
- Perform patient intake, including recording medical histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide patient education on health management, treatment plans, and medication instructions.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Support the healthcare team in various administrative tasks as needed.
For Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
- Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with dressing changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient care areas.
- Communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient care.
Qualifications: For Medical Assistant (MA):
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong clinical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR certification required.
For Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
- Current CNA certification in the state of Kansas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- CPR certification required.
