Advocates for patients, families, and staff. Supports other departments to meet patient needs.Job RequirementsMinimum Education
- Associates degree in Nursing required. BS degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current RN registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
Minimum Work Experience
- Three - four years acute care experience preferred.
- Previous experience in management and / or leadership role required
Minimum Licenses and Certifications
- AHA BLS required
- AHA ACLS required

- Provides appropriate follow up (i.e. staff education, documentation, family / staff support, etc.)
- Adjusts staffing levels to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Evaluates staffing needs continuously and adjusts as necessary to meet the needs of the patient for the current and next shifts.
- Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff.

- Provides clinical consultation, advice and education.
- Assists staff with problems.
- Completes all employee performance evaluations by evaluation due dates.
- Assists staff with conflict resolution (i.e. staff / physician, patient / physician, staff / staff).

- Advocates for patients, families, and staff.
- Intervenes on patient / staff behalf.
- Supports patients rights.
- Supports other departments to meet patient needs.
- Maintains operations of other departments during non-operating hours.
- Functions as an administrative resource for other departments during non-operative hours.
